Description of trip

Tibet crosses slowly, at the rhythm of the pedal: monasteries overlooking the valleys, villages between the fields of barley and roads that go up to the great steps of Himalayas.

After arriving in Kathmandu, the flight leads to Lhasa. From here the route touches Lake Yamdrok, Gyantse and Shigatse, to approach Rongphu and the northern side of Everest, before returning to Nepal.

It is a high priced journey for experienced cyclists: preparation, the time for acclimatisation and the ability to adapt to the conditions of the route are just as much part of it as the landscapes. The means of support transports luggage, while hotels, guesthouses and lodges scan the stops.
