Day 1
Italy – night flight to Urgench
Departure from Italy with scheduled flight to Urgench and overnight on board. The flight is not included: Alessia can offer the solutions available from airports all over Italy.
Day 2
Urgench – Khiva
Arrival in the morning, meeting with driver and guide and transfer to Khiva. Accommodation in hotel with early check-in from 08:00, breakfast and time to rest. From 11:00 a.m. visit of the walled city of Ichan-Kala: Mother of Muhammad Amin Khan, Minaret Kalta Minor and citadel Kuhna Ark. After lunch, Mother of Muhammad Rahim Khan, Tash Khovli Palace, Juma Mosque, minaret Islam Khoja and Pakhlavan Mahmud mausoleum. Dinner and overnight stay in Khiva. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 3
Khiva – Bukhara, through the Kyzylkum
After breakfast, departure to Bukhara along the ancient path of the Silk Road. Stop to admire the Kyzylkum desert and the Amu Darya River. Lunch along the route. In the afternoon, visit the summer residence of the last Emir, Mohi-Khosa Sites. Accommodation in hotel in Bukhara, dinner and overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 4
Bukhara, between madrase and bazaar
Day dedicated to the ancient city: mausoleums of Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub, Bolo-Khauz mosque and fortress of Ark. After lunch, complex Then Kalon with the minaret and the Kalon mosque and the Miri-Arab madrasa, Ulugbek madrasa and Abdulazizkhan and the ancient commercial domes. The route continues between Labi Hauz, the Magoki-Actors mosque and the Chor Minor madrasa. Dinner and overnight in Bukhara. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 5
Bukhara – Ghijduvan – Mitan – Samarkand
Departure for Samarkand with stop in Ghijduvan, to know the tradition of local ceramics, and at the caravanserraglio Rabat-i-Malik and the Sardoba water reserve. In the village of Mitan, lunch at the house of a Uzbek family, with traditional dishes such as bitchak and plov and the possibility to participate in the preparation. Time to walk in the village and know the daily life and the local hospitality. Continue for Samarkanda, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 6
Samarkand: the Registan and the great monuments
Visit of the Gur-Emir mausoleum, linked to Tamerlano, and Registan Square with the three Madrases Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tillo-Kori. After lunch, visit of the Bibi Khanim mosque and walk to the Siyab bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Samarkand. In the evening you can return freely to the Registan to admire it illuminated. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 7
Samarkand: mosaics, paper and astronomy
The visit continues with the necropolis of Shakhi Zinda and its decorated mausoleums, then with the map of Konighil, where the paper is still produced by hand. After lunch, Ulugbek observatory, mausoleium of St. Daniel and museum of Afrosiab. Free time at the end of the visits, dinner and last overnight in Samarkand. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 8
Samarkand – Italy
Breakfast at the hotel or breakfast box. Meeting with the driver about three hours before the flight and transfer to Samarkand International Airport for return to Italy. Flight to be quoted separately.
