Italy – Istanbul
I arrive at Sabiha Gökçen, meet with the assistant and transfer to the hotel. Dinner free and overnight.
Day 2 · Sunday
Istanbul: Fener, Balat and the Bazaar of Spice
After breakfast, half day excursion on the Horn of Gold: Church of St. Stephen's Iron, Fener and Balat districts, St. George's Cathedral and Bazar delle Spezie. The excursion ends at the bazaar, with free return. Afternoon available or optional excursion in the Asian part, between Çamlıca, Kadıköy and Palazzo Beylerbeyi. Dinner free.
Day 3 · Monday
Imperial Istanbul
Visit of the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque and the Cisterna Basilica. Lunch in the restaurant, then Topkapi Palace, excluding the Harem, external visit of Santa Sofia and time to the Grand Bazaar. The excursion ends at the bazaar, with free return. Optional cruise on the Bosphorus. dinner at your own expense.
Day 4 · Tuesday
Istanbul – Ankara – Cappadocia
Breakfast and departure by bus to Ankara, with lunch in the restaurant. Continue for Cappadocia and arrive in the late afternoon, after about 740 km. Dinner and overnight. In the evening, possibility to attend the ceremony of the rotating dervisci, optional and with charge.
Day 5 · Wednesday
The valleys of Cappadocia
Walk in the Devrent Valley, visit an underground city such as Özkonak and the Göreme open-air museum. Lunch and views of the Avcılar and Güvercinlik valleys, with views of Uçhisar Castle. Stops are provided at carpet and hard stone workshops. Dinner at the hotel. At dawn you can request the flight in Mongolian, optional, with payment and subject to availability and weather conditions.
Day 6 · Thursday
Cappadocia – Pamukkale
After breakfast, transfer of about 650 km to Pamukkale, with a visit of a Seljuchid caravan and lunch along the route. Visit of Hierapolis and the calcareous terraces of Pamukkale. Accommodation in hotel and dinner. A possible Jeep Safari before departure is optional and for a fee.
Day 7 · Friday
Pamukkale – Ephesus – Izmir o Kuşadası
Visit of the ancient Ephesus, with the Library of Celsus, the street of the Cureti, the agora and the great theatre. After lunch you continue towards Izmir or Kuşadası, with a stop at a leather shop. Indicative route of 220–260 km. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 · Saturday
Izmir – Italy
Transfer to Izmir airport for the return flight. Breakfast compatible with the transfer time and the opening of the restaurant.
The published programme includes the transfer of Istanbul–Cappadocia by coach. The alternative by plane is available on request, with supplement and lunch of the fourth day excluded. The order of visits may vary for operational needs.
