Day 1 ·
Venice – Colombo
Departure from Venice with Turkish Airlines flights to Colombo. Meals and overnight on board.
Day 2 ·
Colombo – Dambula
Arrival in Colombo, meeting with the guide and transfer to Dambulla, about 3 hours drive. In the afternoon visit of the temple complex in the caves of Dambulla. Lunch and dinner included; overnight stay in Dambula.
Day 3 ·
Retigala, Anuradhapura and Aukana
Visit of the monastery of Ritigala, immersed in the forest, and of the archaeological site of Anuradhapura. Lunch in the local restaurant and stop at the statue of the Buddha of Aukana, before returning to Dambula. Full board.
Day 4 ·
Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa
Ascent to the rock fortress of Sigiriya and traditional lunch. In the afternoon visit of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, with bicycles available to explore the archaeological site. Return to Dumbula. Full board.
Day 5 ·
Dock – Killer – Kandy
Departure for Kandy with a stop in a spice garden in Matale. Visit of the Teeth Temple, important place of worship of the city. Overnight stay in Kandy. Full board.
Day 6 ·
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Meeting with the traditional dance at a local foundation and visit the royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya. Continued between the tea plantations, with visit of a estate and factory. Walk to Nuwara Eliya and overnight stay. Full board.
Day 7 ·
Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala
Transfer to Nanu Oya station and panoramic train journey to Ella, about 3 hours and a half, subject to availability. Packed lunch, panoramic visit of Ella and private car continuation to Yala. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 ·
Safari a Yala – Galle – Beruwela
Early in the morning safari in private jeep in Yala National Park; sightings depend on natural conditions. Return for breakfast and departure along the coast, with stop dedicated to fishermen on the trams. Visit of Galle and its fort, then continue for Beruwela. Full board.
Day 9 ·
Beruwela, a day on the ocean
Free day for relaxing at the sea or for optional excursions. Breakfast included; lunch, dinner and any optional activities not included. Overnight stay in Beruwela.
Day 10 ·
Beruwela – Colombo – Venice
Breakfast and transfer to Colombo airport, about one and a half hours drive. Flight back to Venice, with expected arrival in the afternoon. Operations to be confirmed at the time of booking.
