Uganda, the green heart of Africa

Arrival in Entebbe, welcome and short rest in guest house. After breakfast departure north and trekking on foot in the reserve of Ziwa for the sighting of rhinos. Continue for Masindi, dinner and overnight.

Trekking of chimpanzees in the forest of Budongo, between primates and centuries-old trees. Visit the Top of the Falls, where the Nile falls into a narrow throat, and first photographic safari in the park.

Safari in the northern sector looking for giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lions and leopards. In the afternoon sailing on the Nile to the base of the waterfalls, among hippopotamus, crocodiles and birds.

Travel south through the Albertine Rift Valley, countryside and villages. Arrive in the green region of Fort Portal, known for its tea plantations and crater lakes.

Naturalistic or cultural experience in the Bigodi area. After lunch departure to Queen Elizabeth National Park along the Moon Mountains and first game drive in the park.

Morning safari in the Kasenyi area, habitat of cats, elephants, buffalo and antelope. In the afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Canal to Lake Edward.

Crossing the sector of Ishasha, known for the tree lions. After the game drive continues towards the impenetrable Forest of Bwindi, passing from the savannah to the mountain landscape.

Day symbol of the trip: briefing with rangers and trekking in the forest in search of the family of gorilla assigned. At the end transfer to the suggestive Lake Bunyonyi.

Departure through the region of Ankole, famous for cows with long horns. Entrance safari in the park between zebras, giraffes, antelopes and, with a bit of luck, leopards and hyenas.

Morning dedicated to safari, to a walk in the savanna or to relaxation. Departure for Entebbe with stop on the line of the Ecuador. Day-use room, dinner and rest before the night transfer.

Night transfer to Entebbe International Airport and return flight to Italy.
