Day 1
Arrive in Reykjavík
Individual arrival in Reykjavík and time to discover the capital. Among the visits suggested by the program: the Presidential Residence, Höfði House and the Volcano Express Museum, for a virtual experience dedicated to Icelandic volcanoes. Admission to the museum is optional. Overnight stay.
Day 2 · 190 km
Reykjavík, Golden Circle and Vík
Breakfast. Departure to the National Park of .ingvellir, seat of the ancient Icelandic parliament. The route continues until the Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir geothermal zone. Overnight stay in the area of Hvolsvöllur / Vík í Mýrdal.
Day 3 · 280 km
The south coast and the Jökulsárlón lagoon
Breakfast. The program touches the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and the promontory of Dyrhólaey. Continued between the stretches of Mýrdalsandur, the lava field of Eldhraun and the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Through Skeiðarsandur you reach Skaftafell, at the foot of the Vatnajökull, and the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón. You can add the excursion by amphibian boat between the iceberg. Overnight in the area of Höfn.
Day 4 · 256 km
Höfn and the Eastern Fjords
Breakfast. Following the coastal road you cross the eastern fjords and the village of Djúpivogur. I arrive at Egilsstaðir, on the banks of Lagarfljót, and stay in the area.
Day 5 · 360 km
Detifoss, Asbyrgi and Húsavík
Breakfast. Departure to the north through the plateaus until the Dettifoss waterfall and the canyon of Ásbyrgi, with the characteristic shape of horseshoe. Continue for the peninsula of Tjörnes and Húsavík. Possibility to participate in the safari for whale watching, optional and available until September. Overnight in the area of Mývatn / Húsavik.
Day 6 · 100 km
Mývatn and Akureyri
Breakfast. Day dedicated to the area of Mývatn, among lava fields, pseudocrats, thermal springs, sulfate and mud pools. Continuation for Akureyri, with possibility of optional entrance to the thermal waters of Forest Lagoon. Overnight stay in the area.
Day 7 · 410 km
From Akureyri to Reykjavík
Breakfast. Return to Reykjavík crossing Skagafjörður, Hrútafjörðour and Borgarfjörřur. Along the route the program suggests the open-air museum of Glambær, with houses with grassy roofs, the sources of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Overnight stay in Reyk Javík.
Day 8
Reykjavík and end of journey
Breakfast and end of service.
