Day 1
Italy – Tbilisi
Arrival at the international airport of Tbilisi and accommodation in the hotel. Reception and transfer from the airport available on request, with surcharge.
Day 2
Tbilisi, the charm of the capital
Visit of the church of Metekhi and the fortress of Narikala, with the panorama of the city. The route continues between the sulphide spas, the cathedral of Zion and the Basilica of Anchiskati. After lunch, visit of the National Museum of Georgia and walk on the Rustaveli course, between theatres and historical buildings. Breakfast and lunch included; dinner at your own expense. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Day 3
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi
Departure to Mtskheta, ancient capital of Georgia: visit of the church of Jvari and the cathedral of Svettskhoveli, UNESCO sites. Continue towards Gori with a short stop to the museum dedicated to Stalin, then discover the rocky city of Uplistsikhe, dug in the rock along a branch of the Silk Road. Transfer to Kutaisi, accommodation in hotel and dinner in a typical restaurant. Breakfast and dinner included; lunch at your own expense.
Day 4
Kutaisi – Mestia
The day begins at the market of Kutaisi and the medieval cathedral of Bagrati, in a panoramic position. It then leaves for Mestia, with stops at the dam of Enguri and the church of Lenjeri. I arrive in the late afternoon in the heart of the Svaneti, between the stone towers and the traditions of the svani. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Mestia. Breakfast and dinner included; lunch at your own expense.
Day 5
Messia – Ushguli – Messya
Excursion in 4×4 in the Svaneti to Ushguli, about 2.200 meters, between medieval towers, alpine meadows and the peaks of Mount Shkhara. Visit the church of Lamaria and stop along the path in small villages and churches with ancient frescoes. Return to Mestia and visit the museum dedicated to the history and culture of the region. Dinner and overnight in Mestia. Breakfast and dinner included; lunch at your own expense.
Day 6
Mestia – Zugdidi – Kutaisi
After a last visit to Mestia, leave the Svaneti in the direction of Zugdidi. Stop at Palazzo Dadiani, with the park and the family's historical and ethnographic collection, which includes a funeral mask of Napoleon. Lunch along the route and continue towards Kutaisi. Breakfast and lunch included; dinner at your own expense. Overnight stay in Kutaisi .
Day 7
Kutaisi – Tskaltubo – Obcha – Ubisa – Tbilisi
You reach Tskaltubo to visit the caves of Prometeo, between underground rooms and limestone formations. In Obcha, stop in a local wine cellar to discover the traditions of wine and taste some labels of the region. Lunch at the farm with Georgian specialities. In the afternoon, visit the monastic complex of Ubisa and its frescoes, then return to Tbilisi in the evening. Breakfast and lunch included; dinner at your own expense. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Day 8
Tbilisi – Italy
Breakfast in the hotel and free time until departure. Check-out by 12:00 pm. Transfer to the airport available on request, with charge, according to the time of the return flight.
