Description of trip

A great journey through Vietnam from north to south, enriched by a last experience in the Chinese capital. It starts from the lively Hanoi to reach the landscapes of Lan Ha Bay, with a night on board a traditional Junca.

The route continues towards Hoi An and its lanterns, the ancient imperial capital Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta canals and the Cu Chi tunnels. Prior to the return, Beijing offers the ancient Hutongs, a whirlpool tour, a meeting with a local family and a Chinese calligraphy experience.

Day 1 · December 25

Milan – Shanghai

Departure from Milan Malpensa with Air China flight to Shanghai. Meals and overnight on board.

Day 2 · 26 December

Shanghai – Hanoi

Continuation for Hanoi, meeting with local assistance and transfer to the hotel. Time available and overnight.

Day 3 · 27 December

Hanoi, the soul of Vietnam

Visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, Pagoda to a Pillar, Pagoda Tran Quoc and Temple of Literature. Cycling tour in the Old Quarter and walk to Lake Hoan Kiem.

Day 4 · December 28

Hanoi – Lan Ha Bay

Departure for the bay and embark on a traditional cove. Lunch during navigation, stops to explore the bay, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5 · 29 December

Bay of Lan Ha – Da Nang – Hoi An

Tai Chi at dawn, breakfast and brunch before landing. Transfer to the airport, flight to Da Nang and arrival at Hoi An.

Day 6 · 30 December

Hoi An – Village of Tra Que

Experience in the countryside of Tra Que with agricultural activities and culinary demonstration. In the afternoon visit of the ancient city, the Japanese Covered Bridge and a lantern laboratory.

Day 7 · 31 December

Hue, imperial elegance

Visit of the Imperial Citadel, local lunch, Pagoda Thien Mu and Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. Accommodation and overnight in Hue.

Day 8 · 1 January

Ho Chi Minh City

Internal flight and visit of the War Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Central Postal and Market Office.

Day 9 · 2 January

Mekong Delta

Excursion to the province of Ben Tre, navigation, tropical fruit tasting and visit to the coconut laboratories. Tour in tuk-tuk or bicycle and passage in sampan between the canals.

Day 10 · 3 January

Cu Chi Tunnel

Visit Cu Chi's famous underground network to get to know history and daily life during the conflict. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 11 · 4 January

Ho Chi Minh City – Beijing

Flight to Beijing, welcoming in Italian and visiting Hutong in rink. Meeting with a local family, short calligraphy course and leisure time in the area of Houhai.

Day 12 · 5 January

Beijing – Milan

Night departure with Air China flight and expected arrival in Milan Malpensa in the morning. End of trip.
