Rome – Algiers
Departure from Rome Fiumicino with direct flight to Algiers; other airports are available on request. Upon arrival transfer and accommodation in the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 · 27 December
Algiers, the white city
All day dedicated to Algiers. Visit of the Bardo Museum, housed in an Ottoman palace, and of the Gardens of Essai, between palm trees, tropical trees and water mirrors. With the funicular you will reach the Monument of the Martyrs, which dominates the city. Lunch in the casbah and visit of the oldest nucleus, before returning to the hotel. Full board.
Day 3 · 28 December
Algiers – Djemila – Constantine
Departure for Djemila and visit the ruins of the Roman city, located on the hills. The route continues in the museum, which houses a rich collection of mosaics from villas and buildings of the city. At the end transfer to Constantine and accommodation in the hotel. Full board.
Day 4 · 29 December
Constantine – Tiddis – Constantine
Visit of Tiddis, Roman settlement in panoramic position between hills and valleys. In the afternoon I return to Constantine, the city of the bridges: walk in the medina, between alleys, ancient buildings and markets, and visit of the museum. The panoramic terraces offer views of the gorge and surrounding landscapes. Full board.
Day 5 · December 30
Constantine – Lambese – Timgad – Constantine
Departure early in the morning for Lambese, with the ancient Roman legionary fortress. In the afternoon visit of Timgad: the streets, the colonnades, the arch of Trajan, the theatre, the spas and the public buildings return the image of the ancient city. In the evening return to Constantine. Full board.
Day 6 · 31 December
Constantine – Guelma – Annaba – Algiers
Departure to Guelma, the ancient Calama, and visit of the Roman theatre and the museum, with sculptures, bronzes, coins and finds of the sites of the region. Stop at Hammam Debagh, known for the thermal waters. Arrive in Annaba in the afternoon and transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Algiers. Accommodation in the hotel. Full board.
Day 7 · 1 January
Algiers – Cherchell – Tipaza – Algiers
Visit the archaeological museum of Cherchell and continue for Tipaza. In the afternoon you will explore the ancient city overlooking the Mediterranean, the amphitheatre, the spas, the remains of the basilica and the museum. During the return to Algiers stop at the Tomb of the Christian, circular building in panoramic position on the coast. Full board.
Day 8 · 2 January
Algiers – Rome
Morning still available to greet Algiers. Breakfast and lunch included. Transfer to the airport and return with direct flight to Rome Fiumicino; other airports on request.
The visits can take place on different days depending on any variations in the opening times of the places of interest.
